Leo Cleymans was born in Londerzeel in 1937. He
now lives in Bonheiden, where he converted part
of his house into an atelier. At times his paintings
show a strong influence of expressionism, through
their form and in particular through their colour.
At other times they verge on impressionism, because
of their luminous intensity and sensitivity.
After years of exhibiting in numerous cities such
as Antwerp, Lier, Mechelen, Dendermonde, Ghent,
Brussels etc. he has his own picture gallery since
1995 along the sea front of Knokke.
