Nazifé Can was
born in Turkey in 1964 and has lived in Belgium
since 1980. She took art classes at the Institut
Saint-Luc at Liège. Since then she has
had a taste of everything which can nourish or
enrich an artist: artistic craft, design, garments,
decoration, animation in a painter’s studio
for children, but also numerous trips abroad and
‘social mediation’. In short, a multitude
of activities and preoccupations which, far from
keeping her from the ‘classic’ creation,
have given her the most solid and challenging
basis she could dream of. Her talent has been
developed in various disciplines: painting, drawing,
sculpture, ceramics, pottery, weaving...
