CORINNE D’ANASTASI

Neither rational, nor academic reasons have inspired Corinne D'Anastasi to the art of sculpture but rather natural intuition. Her perception of shapes is direct, straightforward and is expressed by a mouldable matter such as clay. She moulds it as if it were bread dough to express her poetical vision. Her approach to art is extremely vital and fundamental and is at one with her view on everyday life or her manner of entering into relations with other people and at the same time making herself understandable.
In her works we can feel a passion, as intense as an act of love, to examine the human body always under the pretext of natural forms.
