JAN GORIS

Jan Goris graduated with an Arts Degree from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Brussels.
He attended the School of Arts at Braine l’Alleud, the “Ateliers papier” of Mr. Harray.
From experience gained during encounters and exhibitions, both in Belgium and abroad, Jan Goris has developed a style that is personal and diverse at the same time. This is illustrated in a number of disciplines such as oil paintings and stained-glass windows.
His work shows a lyrical, contemplative and ethereal abstraction.
Colours and movements get mixed up and invite us to free interpretation and imaginary journeys.

His Paintings

Goris cultivates two movements : one of fluid matter that disappears, estuary of a river that merges into a desert of solid colours and one of gesture, a shoulder providing the movement with curve and elegance.
I love his "honesty". His works radiate his inspiration, charged with a primitive passion, a touch of life reminiscent of mysticism. This light, this harmony lifts the heart.
